Vacation Aftercare Guide
You were busy enjoying that much needed vacation…resulting in a fall off your regimen. It’s ok we’re not judging, we’re glad you had fun, and were here to help you get back on track.
Hydration…HydrAtion…hydration
Focus on replenishing your skin. You need to bring back moisture into the skin. Ingredients such as glycerin, aloe, and honey.
If your skin is feeling tight, dull, itchy, or sensitive keep your regimen simple. Gentle cleanser, cleanse at night, moisturize, and use a mineral sunscreen. If your skin still feels angry make an appointment with your esthetician or dermatologist.
Antioxidants are your best friend!
You’ve noticed an increase in sun damage & hyperpigmentation. What should you use.. vitamin c, pomegranate, green tea, and beta carotene are excellent options. Using these ingredients will help neutralize the free radicals caused by UV radiation. Repairing existing damage and reducing inflammation. It’s important to note that the use of antioxidants helps aid in treating hyperpigmentation, but it won’t significantly brighten dark marks. We suggest using a tyrosinase inhibitor (azelaic acid, bearberry, arbutin, and tranexamic acid) to effectively brighten hyperpigmentation.
Remember hydration..hydration..hydration is the key to repairing your skin after a carefree vacation. Refrain from using exfoliants and harsh ingredients a few days after you return and if something doesn’t feel or seem right, check in with your provider.
